A’MME Launches
'Water Mate', A Faucet Filter to Remove Rust and Heavy Metal

MME,’ a health and beauty brand that suggests a healthy and balanced lifestyle,
is launching 'Water Mate', a faucet filter.
Because
of the `Red Tap Water Incident' which began in Seo-gu, Incheon in late May
2019, citizens' trust of tap water has dropped significantly, and the market
for bathroom filters such as shower filters, faucet filters, and rust removal
filters have grown significantly.
In
addition, according to the Ministry of Environment's latest 2017 water supply
statistics, Korea has 60,000 km of water pipes over 20 years old, which accounts
for 32% of total water pipes. Because rust, heavy metals, and harmful
substances cannot be identified by the human eye, they can unknowingly cause
various skin diseases if used for a long time, making the use of filters
essential.
'Water
Mate', a new filter from A'MME that can be used safely, was launched to provide
safely usable, clean tap water and to relieve worries about using contaminated
tap water.
Water
Mate Filter's six-layer charcoal filter sifts out impurities that are
problematic for the skin such as rust, fine plastic, heavy metals, and chlorine
in old tap water that have passed through water tanks. In addition, Water
Mate's 'Carbon Filter' was certified as a product with no residual chlorine as
it showed a 100% removal rate during the residual chlorine detection test
conducted by Korea Environment & Waterworks Institute.
Also,
depending on the water temperature, the LED light turns red, green and blue for
hot water, optimal temperature, cold water, helping users wash their faces at
the right temperature. Also, it increases water pressure with the watering
hole, making it possible for users to wash their faces even with a small amount
of water and save water costs.
An
official from A'MME said, “Anxiety about contaminated tap water is making basin
filters and tap water filters essential household products these days,” and
added, "A'MME's Water Mate Filter has passed 48 items of drinking water
quality testing and can be used in families with young children."

'Water Mate' is a 'KC Hygiene Safety Certified' product that passed Korea Water
and Wastewater Association’s strict screening, and therefore, can be safely
used. It will be available at a 20% discount price until February 28th on A'MME’s
website.
